EDIT (5:02pm): Thanks for all the great questions. I have to run but I will try to answer questions as I can later.

For too long our elected officials have worked for the interests of the elite and the corporatists and ignored the voice of the people. We can not continue to claim we are fighting for the people while chasing donations from the same corporations and monopolies that are stealing the future from working and middle class Americans. I saw these problems first hand, as one of the three people Senator Sanders selected from Michigan to represent him on the Democratic National Platform Committee.

These are the reasons I am fighting for the people of Michigan. My family has been farming in Michigan since the 1850s, I am a product of public education, I stand for all Americans who want clean air, water, and soil, and I demand that elected officials work for the people rather than the corporations. This campaign is carrying forward a powerful, grassroots movement that has the potential to transform Southwest Michigan. If we work together, stand up for our neighbors, and refuse to back down or become splintered by corporate lobbyists we can create the change.
