We are looking for some awesome people to join our global team. So what does moderating a community like /r/news entail? Well...

As a mod, you'll help review community reported comments and submissions to ensure they abide by our rules and sitewide rules. You'll respond to modmails from users. You'll discuss our rules and help us improve them. And of course, you'll ban users who violate our rules.

If you'd like to join our team, then you can fill out this application.

We are looking for users who meet the following minimum requirements.

Your account must:

be at least 1 year old.
be email verified. You can check this by looking in your trophy case.
have at least 1,000 combined karma.

Applications will close in 7 days. It will take us a few weeks to review all of the applications, but we'll reach out to those we would like to hear more from, so please make sure you spell your username correctly when you apply.
