I'm a Democratic candidate for Congress in NC. I've been both a doctor at the VA and a private practitioner Internist (on hiatus for the campaign). I'm running to ensure the hardworking families of Eastern NC a government that protects and empowers regular citizens, not just billionaires and corporate lobbyists. In my Veterans policy work, I've fought back against Washington gridlock and obstruction to help prevent suicides, end veteran homelessness, promote opiate safety and help those exposed to burn pits (like the Agent Orange for younger veterans). I'm a baseball fan, a trivia buff, and a spouse-free mom to Dudley, my four-pawed Chief of Staff. I'm a former all-state, then Division I college volleyball player at UNC-Wilmington--Go Hawks!
