Hi Reddit! I am Dr. Vivek Murthy, and I'm the former Surgeon General of the United States during the Obama-Biden Administration. I also served as Vice Admiral of the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. Prior to serving in the Obama-Biden Administration, I founded and ran a number of public health organizations focused on HIV/AIDS education, community health worker training programs, and health policy education and advocacy.
