GA-06 Special Election Discussion Thread Posted: 18 Apr 2017 11:41 AM PDT Introduction Today, a special election is being held in Georgia's 6th District, which was vacant following Rep. Tom Price's confirmation as Secretary of Health and Human Services. Polls will close at 7PM ET. If no candidate wins a majority (50%), a runoff election is scheduled between the top two vote-getters for June 20th. If you live in Georgia's 6th district and still haven't voted, find your voting precinct on Georgia's Secretary of State website. A valid photo ID (drivers license, US passport, voter identification card) must be presented at the polling location in order to cast a ballot.
