We're the filmmakers of AWAKE, A Dream From Standing Rock, the new documentary that premieres on April 22, Earth Day. We were at Standing Rock during the resistance. We're filmmakers and water protectors. We are: Academy-Award nominated and Emmy Award winning director/writer/producer Josh Fox (Gasland I and II, How to Let Go and Learn To Love Everything Climate Can't Change), Academy Award and Emmy nominated director James Spione (Incident in New Baghdad), director/writer/drone photographer Myron Dewey, founder of Digital Smoke Signals, (*his drone footage helped break the story of violence nationally), and featured subject/co-writer Floris White Bull. Floris is Lakota and comes from the Standing Rock Reservation, she was there from early on, she is committed to the #NODAPL movement and bringing clean energy to the reservation.
