Posted: 01 Jan 2021 08:00 AM PST While many other states wrapped up election coverage in November, the state of Georgia decided to run it back for another round — complete with multiple recounts, audits and two runoff elections that could determine the balance of power in the country. U.S. Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R) is facing Rev. Raphael Warnock (D) to replace the retired Johnny Isakson's seat, which Loeffler was appointed into by Gov. Brian Kemp earlier this year. On the other side, U.S. Sen. David Perdue (R) faces Jon Ossoff (D) in his bid for re-election. Zach Dennis is an editor for the Savannah Morning News and Susan McCord is a reporter for the Augusta Chronicle.
